jza800
I am gonna replace my front Wheels studs, with some longere as i have 5mm spacer in the front... i now that there is a guide on the rear studs replacement, but cant find some on the front.. i now that i have to press them out so i done get a wheelbearing failue later, but are there lot off room between the dust plate and front hub to get the stock studs out and the longere in, or what is the easys way to do this without taking the hub off the car??? pedrosixfour
Unbolt the dust cover and take it out of your way, unlike the rear there is nothing stopping you from removing it once unbolted. Naturally feel free to refit it once you have the new studs in place.

CanisLupus
OEM Toyota Studs are around1.96$ each in the US. I don't think it will be much more at your local dealer.
jza800
i dont need stock studs, but longere studs, because i drive with a 5mm spacer in the front..
jazz1
ARP studs are longer and much stronger than OEM.

supra_ufo
I haven't put them in yet waiting for my Car to return again back from the bodyshop. I'm going to fit them myself as bodyshop wanted alot of money. As for my colour it's BMW Daytona violet not sure of the color code left that to the bodyshop
Nic
Do you need the 5mm wheel spacer to clear the brakes? It would be far better - and safer - to run without the spacer or alternatively fit 10mm 'hubcentric' spacers instead. http://planetsoarer.com/offset/studs.htm
jza800
yes the Wheel i have have a offset 33, and with the eu brakes on the car, the Wheel couldt turn because it hit the caliber.. so i need the 5mm spacer so the Wheel could turn around without hit the caliber... and as i dont wont the Wheel to go out of the fender more than necessary, i would like to go with the 5mm spacer.. Wheels are designed to be centered and supported on the hub spigot, having a 5mm spacer between the wheel and the hub will mean that the wheels won't be properly centered on the hub and the whole of the car's weight will be supported only by the wheel studs, something they are not designed to do, hit a pothole hard enough and it's easy to sheer off the wheel studs. If you do need a spacer then it is far far safer to use a hubcentric kind, these bolt onto the hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacer. The spacer is supported by the hub spigot and the wheel is support by the spigot on the spacer.
jza800
ok. but 10mm is too much... 5 - 6 mm i maxium... that way i go after longer studs and 5mm spacer...
Ian C
You can't get hub-centric spacers much shorter than 10mm. If you go for 5mm then as Nic explained your studs will support the shear forces instead of the hub. At best you'll never get a balanced wheel as it'll always be located eccentrically on the hub. At worst the studs eventually snap and a wheel or two falls off at speed
jza800
i now got my spacer from h&r and i dosent have the hub, they are flat when i have fittet the spacer i have about 3 mm left on the hub on the car, is it safe that the Wheel and spigot ring only to sit on only 3mm off the hub???
