Supra_dan
Garages changed my thermostat and said it blew a rad hose they now think 1 the radiator is blocked or head gasket is gone? Any suggestions?
Gaz6002
Does the garage know Supras? I'd change the rad cap first.

Gaz6002
Garage says head gaskets gone as its leaking by manifold Plus, there's a reason the head gasket went... quite probably through running hot because of another problem.
Supra_dan
True need to get a 2nd opinion on it
wile e coyote
Which manifold ? If exhurst and up near the front it could be back of water pump not head
Supra_dan
Think it's near the rear need to check first though
Supra_dan
I checked the water pump and there is a large leak coming from the joint of the rear of the water pump connector so ordered a new gasket. Garage doesn't seem to think this will cure anything.
Benjy
Have you had another opinion with regards to the suspected headgasket issue?
Supra_dan
nope not yet
Benjy
I'd be doing that before anything else. If the system's pressurising, it's either a bad rad cap or it's actually over pressurising. If it is over pressurising, it will damage the engine.
