Pilchard
Just bought my first Supra, running full bpu but want to get it checked over before turning to 1.2 bar. Would like a dyno run too as previous owner didnt have one. Any places you guys recommend? Ive been adviced about GR Performance in Mexborough. Thanks

Pilchard
Bit out of the way, somewhere in the Yorkshire area, anyone used GR?
Gaz6002
You need someone who knows the Supra well, really. I've never heard of GR Performance in my years on here. Chris Wilson in Shropshire would be my bet for anyone north of London, and SRD for the rest. It's worth travelling for a known, reliable garage
supra_ufo
Try the racing line in halifax, they done a few supras there, at some point next year I was going to organise a dyno day there. Personally ive never been there but there is a chap called Mike on here who has had his car dyned. If you are in no rush then wait till next year? I deffo want to do something local. Last dyno I took a 2 hour trip up north

Also Mexborough is not the best place to be fair so does not brim confidence, but I may be wrong. As Gaz and others have said, Jurgen or Chris Wilson. If you want it done right then travel should not be a blocker.
Eddie-S
I live in Chesterfield and used these when I first bought my Supra to check it all over and they also dyno'd it as part of the check. Not a Supra specialist but a very experienced 'garage' http://www.noblemotorsport.co.uk/ They might not be what you are looking for but worth a look and not too far away
Pilchard
Thanks all, its really just for a check before i mess with the boost controller and peace of mind. If i cant get anywhere before christmas il just not have to drive it. I suggested GR as last time I went they were messing with a mad power Supra and had all jap cars on the ramps. Ill check out the others and i will travel if needed to get it done properly.

Very friendly & helpful guys indeed!! Although no Supra expert, they seemed through in their work. Even if it was a small job.

kjgreen3
A vote here for chris wilson, definitely worth a bit a travelling. Ditto, I live in Sheffield. When I had some issues I had the supra trailered down to Chris Wilson in Shrophire. Worth every penny for his expertise and quality work. With these cars you have to be VERY careful who you trust to work on them. For example I took the supra to a Toyota Garage in Sheffield a couple of years ago (where the new Mike Brewer franchise car sales place is now) to pick up some parts I had ordered. The head mechanic/technician came out and said to me and I quote "Nice car mate is it a Nissan". After I showed him the Toyota emblem he said he had never seen one before and could he have a chance to work on it when it next needed it doing. I politely declined, If my local Toyota dealership doesn't know they made the Supra, then God help us or maybe take it to a Nissan Dealership!
