Guest Nicholas
Has anyone attempted fitting one from a newer car to a Supra? just a thought...
evinX
Whats the point? the only rear view mirror id consider fitting would be one with a built in reverse sensor as I have these on my supra
kayjay0_7
Done it on mine, used a mirror out of a Soarer as its a direct swap, wired it in to the lighter circuit

kayjay0_7
I'd have to try and get them off my phone, removed the mirror when I sold the Supra Hopefully Gary (mk4gaz) has got round to fitting it to his

Mk4Gaz
It's a good idea, as it stops being dazzled when looking in the mirror at night. Some 4x4s with their hid lights, are stupidly bright, and are a pain in the arse when checking the mirror

jonc
I've got one of these and auto wipers on one of my other cars and love both of these gadgets. Good news to find I can retro fit the rear view mirror now down to the auto wipers:p

straightsix
If you've never had one, I guess it could be seen as pointless. Having had one in every Lexus I owned, it was the first thing I retrofitted in my Passat when I bought that. They prevent dazzle far better than a standard manual tilt mirror and in my opinion make crunching night time miles far safer
Herb
Pretty interesting… Seems like a noob question… but is it hard to retrofit in a Supra? I mean it looks like to be just a ignition + and negative wire job to me?
cashpoint
I always thought auto dimming mirrors were a gimmick until a bought my current car.... Now I'm in the same boat of trying to retro fit auto dimming to my RX

Some of the Lexus models have wiring running to the door mirror glass too but you wouldn't get that for the Supra!
dangerous brain
Auto-wipers are the bomb. So used to auto-dimming mirrors I don't remember driving in the dark without one now. Another way around the issue my be a big gay wing

Sounds great! Thanks! How is the the mirror actually mated to the glass? Is it just glued or is there a screw somewhere?
JayJay1374
There's a screw on the base.
