Guest Pinch
Hello All, I'm a newbie and I've just joined to hopefully seek some good advice. I've owned a few Range Rovers and Land Rovers over the years, but I don't have that pleasure at the moment. I do however have a pair of Range Rover P38 seats from a 1998 model which I'm going to fit into my Transit T350 minibus. I'm with a couple of woodworking forums (I'm a furniture maker) and I've recently started a new thread as a WIP project on my bus, which is in the slow process of converting into a camper/works vehicle. I've owned the bus for over a year now and have decided to make a start. Anyway, my new seats (new to me that is) arrived yesterday and I'm going to start the removal/installation over the weekend. The seats are fully electric with the wiring loom included. Plugging this into the seats is straight forward, but from there isn't and it's making my head hurt - help! Here are the seats... The wiring loom... And theses bits... where do they go? I know the earth connector but that's it. A couple of the chaps on the woody forums are saying this loom would have been connected to the Range Rover's computer. Is this going to be an issue for me or are there ways around this? Many thanks in advance. Cheers, Pinch
dangerous brain
The seats have got memory positions that an ecu will control. They are also heated but chances are the drivers one won't be as the elements break in them and require repairing.
Guest Pinch
Cheers for that. So how do I get a feed into the loom so the seat positions work?

Branners
okay, shifting this out to non supra technical to start...we can then all frown at it until we work out what it's doing here.
Scott-tt
Best to get the wiring diagram for a range rover then find a power source on the transit to run the seats. Have you got a supra?

Guest Pinch
Sorry chaps! Doh... The penny has now dropped I was posted a link from my woody forum thinking this was a Range Rover forum. I thought it was a bit odd as I've never heard of a Supra Range Rover. But yes, I've heard of a Supra Toyota and what a car! I'll be gone then and thanks for your advice plus link.
