dangerous brain
Metal polishing kit and I faffed about with all day as I was bored I did the smoothing by hand with a rotary file instead of shot blasting it. The polishing part is a doddle once you get it smooth.

dangerous brain
I'm going to laquer them obviously so no different to keep clean than wheels. In fact as the bastards are steel they'll be easier to maintain and less prone to corrosion than al alloy. As for time it took me an 8 hour working day to do 1 caliperas they arrived looking like they had been buried for a year. The kit is made by policraft and retails around £15 I think. You'll need a windy drill as an electric will overheat with the amount you need to use it. If you get it shot blasted it will be a lot less hassle. I'll let you know how quick it is shot blasting when I do the other one 2moro. I can get calipers polished if people want them done by a very good polisher, much better than I have done them. If only I had the: Intellect [ ] Space [ ] Equipment [ ] Time [ ] All of the above [X] ...I'd probably end up making them look worse than the "before" pics
Pete
Pretty cool for a show car. I'll stick with paint for my daily driver tho'.
dangerous brain
they are no different laquered to painted for maintenance. The thin spokes on my blitz 19" rims aren't going to impede the cleaning process and any wheel product I use will be ok for the calipers
MR.B
They look awesome - I looked at having this done some time ago but nothing ever came of it.
dangerous brain
Its about 5 hours work per caliper. Getting the cast marks out is the hardest part after that its all plain sailing. If you can take the car off the road I'll do them for you for £100 lol.
