Dnk
Anyone used any of this on their supras or other projects I need to protect my coated chassis from the heat given off by the two catalytic converters so thought a self adhesive heat shield was the way to go. Any recommendations Found this on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DEI-HEAT-BARRIER-REFLECTIVE-GOLD-TAPE-REFLECT-A-GOLD-12-034-x-24-034-SHEET-010392-/311111968742?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
Dnk
Does anyone know what kind of temp a cat pipe gets up too, on the outside ?
jay200bhp
Dunk. From the race team i used a 3d tape which was gold and smooth .my friend with an audi tt rs covered an inlet pupe with the dei stuff and it crinkles easily and can look an abortion mate. The 3m brand is more expensive but if what your covering has any shape definately worth the money. The dei stuff has a textured glue to it and isnt great IMO.
