Jellybean
Want to show off the cam gears and paid a few $$ for the carbon cover on mine , will this work? Its a road car so don't want anything getting in there http://www.carpictures.com/pics/640/07GPF413114596G/Toyota-Supra-by-Titan-Motorsports-1995-07GPF413114596G.jpeg
Guest Nicholas
it'll be fine as above, the chances of anything getting in are very slim.
Al Massey
Why don't you cut a rectangle show piece into the carbon?

ripped_fear
Id personally not take the risk, Just cut a square out and fill with clear plastic, or take the whole front section off and replace it with a clear front section.

This is pretty much what I'm doing. I've managed to get hold of a GReddy clear cam cover and I'll maybe go carbon for the bottom section and polished alloy for the spark plug cover. Means the cam gears are still on show but fully protected.
Al Massey
was going to but my Mechanic said not too lol,I still want to keep the carbon cover I'm sure my carbon guy could cut into that and out a clear bit of Perspex in

Swampy442
Chris Wilson's going to have a heart attack if he sees this thread Im sure his heart has toughened up over the years, theres worse threads than this running currently In answer to your question any belt exposure is a risk but as above, a perspex window will keep the crap out and expose the gears.
