johnbach
hi i have a 1996 non turbo aero top , and having put it back on the road after a 4 year break i find it to be very noisy and bumpy ride ,on inspection found one rear shock was liking so have replaced the two rear shocks and is now more stable on the road , but still as noisy and rough on bumps and potholes i would be grateful for your comments
Abz
Is the noise a particular noise that you are hearing? i.e - Noisy when going over bumps, wind noise etc? Have you pushed down on the suspension on each corner of the car, see if the car settles quickly? Noises when you do this? Check the condition of the springs too? brom86
Boot rubbers perish after time. Seen people changing these over which is causing the boot to rattle
Chris Wilson
Is it on standard factory dampers and springs? Some of the more dubious aftermarket stuff is plain junk, with insane ride heights and spring rates, and dampers with the technology of a Victorian toilet cistern.
