uzzyuzzy
Hi folks Really need your help as my car had been sitting for four months and tried to start it but put the jump leads the wrong way around and the 120amp box fuse blew. After replacing the fuse from toyota the ignitions lights all come up but the car will not start. Every single fuse has been checked to see if all working There is fuel in the car AA guy also used some kind of spray near the air filter and tried few other little bits but no luck. I have been told it could be suspected damage to the ECU from the incorrect and number of jump starts. Can anybody give me ideas as the car is located in a awarkward place in rear garage so don't know how I can move it out.
bignum
Good chance you took the ignitor pack out to, check if you have spark on cranking.
Lee P
If it's got an alarm that may have not liked it but as said main thing that can blow is the ignitor on the strut tower Do a diagnostic on the ECU and see if you have code
Swampy442
The ECU may also have taken a hit, its not unknown. Im still really worried about how many people do this, its really not hard, red to red, black to an engine earth like a lifting hook or something.
