dangerous brain
I believe the thread can be locked. If the engine it goes pop you only have both of you to blame now!

Luxluc
There is no "bad" question imo. We can all still learn .. and that's what our forum is all about. Here a nice video I found.
The Raven
Wow jerks. , Maybe if someone had come on here and asked which way round the head gasket went my car wouldn't have been broken to near on scap value. And that was from someone that had worked for Toyota and by all accounts knew a shed old about supras. Bringing money up is just plain disgusting. I've meet people working on a shoe string to people spending 10s of thousands and you know what they are all good people This really isn't what this place is about Your both as bad as one another in this case Edited November 5, 2014 by The Raven (see edit history)

Well I took the window cleaner thing as a insult as it come across as you was say I'm just a window cleaner that your above me wich I find insulting hence why I said about the money as I was angry and yes I did say oh dear as for some one to take some else's car to do a job to then not know what to do is worrying people just didn't want you to get your car messed up but hey I cba to argue anymore tbh good luck with the build
James
Let's stop all the bickering there. We all learn. Questions have been answered with ample explanation and progress can be made. Good luck with the rest of the build Paul/T14PPA.
r0cknr0lla
Just my 2p... Personally I think the way some people have reacted regarding this question is disgusting... I am a supra noob in the process of a build and will be learning as I go. Judging by the response received here I am hesitant to ask technical questions in the future now. That said, is one of the reasons I am on here! This was suppose to be a place of knowledge and assistance with support from members.. regardless of how much someone knows. Rather ask a question and be safe than make an error. I understand the concern for the build however THE QUESTION WAS ASKED... no need to get personal & ugly! I am sure any other uncertainties would have been asked at the same time.
WayneW
Thanks for the vid Luxluc @r0cknr0lla : I'm also a noob in Supra's and the turbocharged engines, but is really interesting for me. But I think you don't have to be hesitant by asking questions (here or somewhere else), there is no idiot questions as long as you are arguing why you think smth could be done in such a way... This was not the case for this thread so this is why (I think) such answers has been given... Good luck with the build T14PPA, wish I could be at your place ! jay200bhp
No question is to stupid to ask.yes you may get a sarcastic reply thats life with an open forum.what i do notice on here are alot is when you ask a technical question you can wait days for a reply. Yet were debating the price of bread.how long each others arn pit hair is etc and bitching at sales ads.... Lets get the love back.
WayneW
This is the same in the other forums (from my experience), I've seen way worse on my last forum (AE86) LOL This thread has to be locked...

I am sure any other uncertainties would have been asked at the same time. You should never feel hesitant to ask questions. The response by people is because someone is doing a build for themselves and don't know, it's the fact that the op is building this build for someone else. Hence why people are worried and saying you should know. If you were to ever put up a question, I'm 100% sure you will not be slated for it. There may be sarcasm, but that's the way this forum is lol
Chris Wilson
Jeez, some folk have thin skins I have asked some electronic RF questions on US forums and been slated from pillar to post as a thick Limy, a probable thick (insert N word), dangerous to be let loose around more than a 1.5 volt battery, God knows what Some folks get all excitable when they have a much better grasp of a specialist subject than that of the question asker. They can't resist having a poke. It's human nature I suppose. I just laugh, we all have to learn somewhere. I think what got some folks uppitty is it sounded like you were doing a paid job on someone's car, and were perhaps not yet knowledgeable enough to be attempting that. Not sure if that's the situation or not, and frankly that's between you and the car owner. I always try and answer questions without offence. Mainly I hope I succeed, sometimes "human nature" gets the better of me

Chris Wilson
Actually I had a proper look at the photos yesterday, and you have a done a beautiful job. It looks stunning! The aftermarket ECU's flexibility is the saving grace, a bit of extra air leakage past the TB butterfly hasn't turned out to be an issue in this case. I am always happy to help, except when I am in the pub
