Guest Bungle
Hi all. I'm looking for some advice on the condition of the timing belt. It was last changed 7 years ago and has done 23000 miles but from what I can tell appears to be in good condition. I didnt take off the whole cambelt cover so could only see the top. I did however run the engine at idle and stopped it at various stages to see different parts of the belt. I know its difficult to advise from a couple of pictures but appreciate your thoughts on it. Thanks
gordy.r
7 years, I'd change it. Just due to the length of exposure to atmosphere and different changes in temperature etc. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I thought it was a 5 year life once on the engine.
