a98pmalcolm
Hay gang. Just wondering on people opinions on the intercooler cooling kits. The Nitrous Express kit looks good and seems like it would really cool the intercooler by the looks of the cold condensation created on the intercooler when activated. Opinions peps? Lee P
I think it just adds more complication and more weight, keep it simple

ManwithSupra
May be worth it for big spec drag cars, no point on a road car IMO. Even for drag cars I have seen them use CO2 Extinguishers instead. Edited October 31, 2014 by ManwithSupra (see edit history)

Your not allowed/supposed to use them on the strip. Water drips off. Onto the track and then you spoil it for everyone.
Shane
Your not allowed/supposed to use them on the strip. Water drips off. Onto the track and then you spoil it for everyone. Who told you that? SP ask only that you do not use them until you are past the 1/8 mile. I have one and its something the scrutineer guy picked up on when I was on the line and said if I was using it to wait until the 1/8 mile. The thinking is that by 1/8 mile you are travelling fast enough for any residual fluid to disperse. Ironically at the time mine wasn't even connected!

Shane
Celica gt four wrc has one as standard Didn't realise that. I knew that some of the Impreza's had them as stock. Here's a picture of mine spraying from one of the 3 nozzles. It looks like there is a lot of water there, but in fact its a tiny amount. I have an output from my Det3 ecu to control the spray and then can change the timing, duration etc dependent on various factors, revs, boost etc. but at the moment havent had time to connect it up properly.
