FCD needed on a UK car?

UK spec is the same, you will need an FCD if you want to raise the boost above 1bar.

Would I need to upgrade the fuel pump aswell? I believe the UK spec car has a higher flow rate pump than a J-spec car?

You're correct the UK pump does flow more than the j-spec pump, which should be fine at BPU performance levels. The only reason you may want to change it is due to age, if it's the original factory fitted pump then it'll be getting on for 20 years old now.
