Gar_GT4
Hi all...over the last 2 months my car isnt starting on the 1st turn of the key...the starter will only click bit would only happen once then start on the 2nd try. Last night it got worse where as it would be about 10 times before the starter engages. The battery is just about 2 years old..its a halfords item but when i had a look at it i think it may not be powerful enough. Its an hb054 with starting power of 330 amps...same battery thats in my AE111 and thats why i think it may be too small..any advice would be great. jaw
sounds like the starter contacts to me. I bought a kit from Toyota for about 20 quid - and then it started first time every time. There's a part number on here somewhere, will see if I have the link saved

Mad Hatter
I had a Halfords Battery, they have a 4 year warranty and when mine kept losing all charge after a couple of days of the car sitting still I had it replaced. Make sure you dig out your receipt. Give them your reg/car details and they will dig out the correct battery
