Indicators not self cancelling

Steve

Recommended Posts

Over the last few weeks I have noticed my indicators are no longer self cancelling when the steering is straightened. I haven't had the chance yet to take the steering cowl apart to see what has gone wrong, but has anybody had this before and what was the cause?

Cheers

Do you have a stock or aftermarket steering wheel?

There isn't much to see with the cowl off, but if you take the wheel off there is a white plastic/nylon collar that has notches on and they are what come into contact with prong bits on the end of the indicator switch assy I seem to recall. I had Carmel's wheel to pieces recently and had to get one of these as it was missing on her car when we got it. Its not a complicated affair, but am pretty sure the wheel will need to come off.

I didnt get the chance to look last week, so will be this Saturday.

Cheers for the link Shane, hopefully its just something simple.

Good luck, I do have a few bits laying around from when I did Carmel's and have the shell here also with most of those bits still on so if you get stuck let me know.
