Scott-tt
I've recently done a 1uz engine swap on my supra, I have an early (circa 1989/90) set of Lexus LS400 callipers left over from the project with discs. My assumption was LS400 callipers fit Supras however while the front callipers fit ok the discs don't seat flush I didn't notice they weren't completely flush until I bolted the wheel back on and tryed to rotate it, the disc binds as it rotates. I then removed the disc and calliper and compared the inner diameter to a rear supra disc I had I've found that the inner diameter on the supra discs are slightly larger. I checked the disc against a J spec na one and I've found that the disc is a lot smaller both by thickenss and width. So here's my question is there any disc Lexus or Toyota that will work with the early ls400 callipers and still fit over the small lip on the supra hub and allow the disc to sit flat, or am I better just getting a set of supra j spec na brakes and ditching the ls callipers? straightsix
You need the later LS400 discs and calipers from a UCF20 LS400. The ones you have are from a UCF10
Scott-tt
Ah well Ill just ditch the UFC10 callipers then I'll price up some later ls ones or na supra ones and see what's available, thanks guys
straightsix
Try ebay for UCF20 LS400s breaking. I got a couple of sets in the past and paid no more than £100 posted. I always bought new discs and pads though
