buster
Just pulled out of a parking space on the side of a road where there are temporary traffic lights 100m down the road that were just turning green I thought a lorry was waiting for me as he was stopped when I indicated and started pulling out then as I was half way out he moved forward and hit the side of my car Who's in the wrong? Abz
I hate to say this but you may be in the wrong for this, he could have stopped for something else and not noticed you pulling out from a parked spot. I never assume anything when driving, was he looking at you when he stopped? Any notification he was allowing you to pull out? Really sorry to see the damage on the car
keron
i would say your fault as he was already on the road...i think thats the way the ins co would also see it? What did the truck driver say?
listy
Were you going the same direction as the lorry or opposite? If the opposite way, then your fault mate I would say, as his light was green he has right of way surely? If the same way, then probably his fault, as you started the manouvre before he moved off. Even if they were both going the same way, the driver on the road always has the right of way...as buster was pulling out into the same road, he should have checked to make sure it was clear before pulling out.... Alex
I think if you'd completed 66% of your lane change or more - it would switch the fault to him - as he'd have hit you up the rear. But before that you've pulled out / switched lanes into him. Sorry.

Abz
Thought this maybe the case just rather not claim if im not in the right At best case they might make it a 50/50 claim but not worth going through the insurance, they will most likely write the car off.
