jim
Not sure if everyone has seen this thread, but thought it might interest a few and could be a good trip. At the minute it looks like the plan is to start off in the South of England and take a trip up into Scotland, picking up members along the way, when they hit Scotland it looks like a trip up the West Coast then back down the East, so if anyone was thinking of heading over Stranraer/Cairnryan would make it easy to intercept the trip through Scotland as it's beginning. They're currently looking an idea of numbers to check out places to stay etc. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?313953-Run-for-the-Border!!! Drgray
Once you are in Scotland enjoy the speed cameras. I think 99% of speed camera budget for the UK went to Scotland

I think 99% of speed camera budget for the UK went to Scotland Have to disagree with that, as someone who drives all over the UK on a weekly basis I'd say England was the worst. Once you're passed Glasgow on the west coast you'll be hard pushed to find a speed camera on the roadside heading north!

England is far far worse...whenever I drive to JM imports from my house the first camera I'll see is in England.
Drgray
Just experience from the eastern side or scotland, around ssome of the a1 and particularly near the border. On another note, Aberdeen takes the biscuit for cameras

You just need to know where to slow down
Scott
Just experience from the eastern side or scotland, around ssome of the a1 and particularly near the border. On another note, Aberdeen takes the biscuit for cameras The A1 is the exception to the rule. No one that I know uses the A1, they all come up the M6 due to the ridiculous amount of cameras on that road. The A1 aside though, there are very few speed cameras up here.
