Kendo11
Afternoon all, Is anybody using or has experience of tein lowering springs with stock yellow billstein shocks? Tein seem to be the most cost effective way of getting some lows but I'm unsure of the quality? Any advice appreciated. Cheers

Nic
Spring rate comparison here may help http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?267488-Coilover-Spring-Rate-Register
Graham1984
Yeah, but are they any good? Yeah they are fine, they don't sit too low/rub and they are especially for a NA.

Graham1984
Spot on IMO, I had other springs on there before and they were too rigid compared to these.
Benjy
I had Teins on my black NA. Was spot on.

Rich.2211
They tend to still sit quite high on the front compared to the rear from what I've seen.
Benjy
Mine didn't.

Rich.2211
Fronts are lower than the rears. Did you have S tech ones Ben or TT ones? They lower the front 36mm and the rear 42mm according to the advert I've just read. I helped fit some to Josh(42)'s car and parked it side by side with mine (fitted with 40mm lowering springs all round) and his was definitely higher on the front than mine. I'm surprised that a few mm difference is noticeable but it definitely was. Maybe there are different versions of the Teins? Depends the Jap ones lower the front 36mm and the rear 20mm iirc. I'm certain there were two types for a NA and the ones you fitted sound for a TT to me.
