Recommended Service Intervals For Supra's?

Just wondering what would be a suitable gap between servicing (Oil Changes etc)..?

Currently running a single turbo around 700hp. I was thinking every 3000-5000 miles, or every 6 months just to be on the safe side. I always use the best quality products available, as protecting my pride and joy comes 1st priority.

I would be grateful of your input guys. Cheers. :D

That's what I do. 3000 miles or 6 months. To be fair though, I'm probably wasting money doing it that often, as the oil is usually really good when it comes out.

Yeah better safe than sorry tho IMO! Cool will stick to what I'm doing already then thanks. You just can't stick to the "Handbooks" recommendations when your car is far from standard.

The specified service interval is 12 months or 9,000 miles, whichever comes sooner.

I wouldn't worry too much about the oil, using a fully synthetic it'll run way over 9,000 miles without issue even if you are a thrash monkey. even when I was doing that kind of mileage in a year the oil would drop out looking and feeling the same as the day it went in. BHP doesn't matter as far as an oil is concerned, that's more dependent on ring blow by and running temperature as the rpm and pressures will be pretty much the same as standard.

What about the oil film thicknesses on the main a big end bearings? Granted these are mainly driven by bearing geometry, but having decent oil can't hurt.

If the OPs car was a stocker I'd be the first to say stop wasting money and stick to the manufacturer's schedule with a decent semi-synth, but since he's gone single turbo he can rip that up and do whatever he wants - there will only be anecdotal evidence to support it anyway.

Cheers for both your inputs guys. Both with valid points. :)
