FOSSIL_FUELS
It's been a while since I last updated... More parts purchased New wheels... Needs repolishing. I've started to polish them up... But it's hard work doing it by hand .. I've also bought a IC panel with the supra logo embossed in it. Also bought a bit of interior bling... St/St heater rings, knobs and climate control panel covers. (not fitted them yet... But they look great) And a 3" decat pipe. And as I found it going cheap on eBay... A boxed original HKS Type 0 (white gauge turbo timer) Edited December 2, 2014 by FOSSIL_FUELS (see edit history)
FOSSIL_FUELS
About a month ago... The Supra began to play up... Overfueling, spluttering, no power and cutting out. Not a happy girl Had to get her trailered home Only just fitted on!! Got it home... But as you can see... It was running a bit rich... (That's about 12quid worth of V-Power ) First thing I chaged out was the Coolant temperature sensor for the ecu. It's seen better days... It fell appart in my hands.. After changing it out with a new one I re-set the Ecu but it didn't have any effect. Then a friend sent me a link to a lexus forum, with a bloke with the similar problems... I was advised to replace my ECU with a new unit... So I looked on the MKIV Owners club and picked up a replacement ecu delivered for £30 ... Which I was not going to grumble at. It turned up Saturday morning... 10 mins later the car was running better than ever. Extremely smooth and without overfueling and no hiccups... Well 60 odd miles later... 1/4 tank of fuel gone... It's running like a dream. So happy that it was a quick and easy and the best bit... Cheap fix... Tax has now been removed, so now i can now crack on with the BIG SINGLE TURBO conversion Happy days!! Tyson
What's happening with your old wheels? Did they fit straight on or did you need arch work ?

FOSSIL_FUELS
Ha ha... Cheers The wheels currently on it will be up for sale once I've got the new wheels on. No arch work needed... Not even rolled. And it's sitting pretty low on BC coilovers
FOSSIL_FUELS
Wow... Been a long time since I last updated this. The Supra came off the road at the end of November... Unfortunately not a lot happens for quite some time as I managed to crack my knee cartilage in 2 places snap a ligament and over stretch my ham string... Which put me out from any supra work for some time. I have now started to make up for the lack of love and attention it needed. I had Dan Harris come over and sort out the nasty paint on the car... Its had a terrible respray... And not had the paint corrected. Also fitted the Axis wheels and 2 fresh rear tires. Couple of pics. So now the outside looks a lot more aestheticly pleasing... No extremely dull paint and I've put my stamp on it with some new wheels... But I'm now considering a new set. Next stage was to clean up the interior as the carpet in my Supra was in a terrible state... Sections cut off... Patches missing... Bits glued together... Not a good look. So I picked up a UK TT cream carpet in perfect condition just a little dirty.. And purchased some black Dye from a local trader just down the road from me in Hitchin. After a good clean and 3 layers of Dye... The carpet looks new!! Layer 1 Layer 2 Layer 3 Left it to dry for the day then fitted it... Extremely happy with the results. Whilst I had the carpet out I took the centre section apart and fitted a new double din head unit. Next on the agenda was a new exhaust system as the 2.5" system wasn't going to cut it when it gets the snail fitted. So after a trip down to see Moebeen... I came home with a 3.5” HKS HiPower system and some replacement side rear window plastics as I ended up damaging them when replacing the boot gas struts. Not a lot has happened in the engine bay as of yet... But soon I will start on the Turbo build... But I want to enjoy the car for a bit before she gets ripped apart again... I've missed driving her especially with the roof off... Here's a couple of pics from a classic car event last weekend. Thanks for looking. jim
Lovely looking supra Rob! I like the wheels, never seen a set of them polished before - what you thinking of changing to?
FOSSIL_FUELS
I swapeed out from the Fuel F5 wheels to the Axis wheels. But I might swap out for a new set soon... Not too sure if I want to keep with them or not. If I do change, I'm thinking some buddyclub P1 wheels next
FOSSIL_FUELS
More work on the supra getting it ready for show season.. Cleaned up the wiper arms... Removed the surface corrosion sanded them back, primered and sprayed in sattin black. Looks a lot cleaner. Then just before heading out I had a delivery of its new tailored premium mats with leather edging. Extremely impressed with the quality. Oh and just another quick pic from Ace Cafe Monday night. Cheers for looking Edited April 16, 2015 by FOSSIL_FUELS (see edit history)
