SupraLEDrears
Hi has anyone done this conversion? Apparently I need a resistor to use them as running lights otherwise they only come on when braking. I can't find anything on it. Any help appreciated. Kaan W
Bit of a misleading title... But I assume you have LED rears wanting your brake lights as normal lights?
listy
Or does he mean using LED bulbs?
SupraLEDrears
Sorry it's led bulbs that has the 1157 fitting but I need a resistor to make them work as driving lights as at the minute they'll only come on when hitting the brakes. SupraP-Z
I was looking at these on ebay the other day, apparently you can get the double filament 1157 LED bulbs? Shouldn't need a resistor then? I might be completely wrong lol
SupraLEDrears
I was looking at these on ebay the other day, apparently you can get the double filament 1157 LED bulbs? Shouldn't need a resistor then? I might be completely wrong lol yeah thats what I bought. On a battery it works as it should, but in the car it doesnt. I think the rear lights need rewiring as they are not all on the same power wire whereas a normal dual filament bult would work both ways. I've given up now that my headgasket blew but will continue thus quest when its back.
SupraP-Z
Is the stock brake light bulb a double filament bulb?
johnny g
Are you on pre-facelift or facelift rear lights? The bulbs are different.
