Kaan W
It does look great on yours Kaan. How much did it cost you for the chroming if you don't mind me asking mate? I haven't got a clue mate you would have to ask Lee.
Phlukey
My new Whifbitz manifold, down-pipe, mid-pipe and screamer pipes have arrived at SRD ....... All of it except for the mid-pipe will go away to Zircotec now (along with the turbine housing and waste gate bodies) to be ceramic coated in white. Kaan W
Those billet manifolds look great! Is it all stainless?
Noz
What you doing with the old downpipe mate?
Phlukey
Yep all stainless Kaan. Seems a shame to cover up all that amazing welding and machining with ceramic, it's a work of art, but it'll be better for temps in the bay. Old down-pipe will be sold with the GT4780 turbo as part of a whole T6 setup. If anyone is interested in this check Hodges original build thread for the details of the kit and PM me, but be aware it's a BIG turbo lol...... probably more suited to someone with a stroker kit fitted. Kaan W
Nice, are you going for the black ceramic coating or white? Or maybe a different colour like blue
Phlukey
Going for white to match the rest of the car mate. Will probably be a PITA to keep clean, but it'll look good when it is.

Phlukey
Cheers Matt, good to meet you today grateful for all your help getting the brakes packaged up. Stay in touch dude
Phlukey
Quick update....... First of all, got a tasty Brembo big brake setup which is the same as is used on the Mercedes McLaren SLR and SL55 AMG. 8 pot fronts with 14in discs and 4 pot rears. Dropped them straight off to Lee at SRD and was a bit worried at first they wouldn't fit because of my 3 piece split rim design....... Good news is, Lee has test fitted them and they fit fine PHEW! Lol. They will be given a refurb now before final fitment. Also, Lee has now fitted my TRD diff into the casing and tidied the casing up. abtin90
Nice update, any idea on when it'll be ready for collection. Also out of interest what brakes did the car have fitted previously?
Stevo
I think they were D2's weren't they? Can't remember the size though...
Luxluc
Wow. Those brakes look awesome Phil.
Phlukey
That's right Stevo, it had D2 8 pots on the front and K-sport 4 pots on the rear with 356mm discs all round. Plan was to have the car finished for the Summer, but that may have changed now. Just waiting for some news back from SRD about a few things and then build may be taken a lot further than was originally planned, which will obviously take more time. Either myself or Lee will update as things develop, so watch this space :-) - - - Updated - - - Cheers Luc
supra matt
Pleased they fitted mate look spot on
Phlukey
Cheers Matt, I'm chuffed with them. Hopefully they stop as good as they look :-) Edited January 26, 2015 by Phlukey (see edit history)
Phlukey
Also, forgot to add...... Lee has been test fitting the Manifold and waste gates..... Waste gates sit a bit too close to brake lines for comfort, so will be changing master cylinder for a LHD unit as per Lee's advice.
Kaan W
Nice work by Lee, brakes look fantastic mate. A wise choice to replace the cylinder with a lhd one you don't want something like the braked failing.
supra matt
Blimey looks like the turbo and down pipe are going to be a tight fit to mate,
Phlukey
Cheers Kaan I'm sure Lee will work his normal magic and get things to fit fine Matt :-)
Phlukey
On the lookout for a chromed or polished TRD strut brace like the one on Jamie P's car if anyone wants to sell one.
abtin90
Will be watching this with interest. As for the TRD strut brace whifbitz do a copy of it in a polished finish. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=316757
