Si_s Supe
I'm changing the radiator on my NA auto at the weekend which obviously means disconnecting transmission oil cooler. Since I'm doing this, I'm going to do a partial ATF change. Never serviced an auto box before so my question is, do I just refill until fluid comes out the fill hole or do I need to top up bit by bit until the level is correct on the dipstick? trebor69
You will only get around two litres out of the drain plug, then you can replace that two litres with fresh stuff but this must go down the dipstick tube, then whatever you lose in the bottom of rad (cooler) you can replenish by dipping it whilst warm and topping up the same way (dipstick tube) I found it best to wrap plenty of clingfilm around pipe ends when removed. Si_s Supe
Nice one, thank you. I'll be safe if I have 3L on hand then.
