r0cknr0lla
Hi guys, I know this may not be an easy one to explain but can anyone help me with advice as to what holes I can close up for the engine bay wiretuck smooth over. Being a new supra owner and not having a motor in when car arrived does affect my knowledge regarding this and therefore only am aware of fuze box, battery and loom holes.. nothing else was available to check what goes where. Cheers. Edited September 23, 2014 by r0cknr0lla (see edit history)

abtin90
Have a look at kaan W's build thread and Johns thread for the kraken there's plenty of pictures detailing it. Sorry I can't be of more help.
ripped_fear
Well depends, are you deleting anything or relocating stuff out of site? Also depends what engine is going in and what stuff your has fitted. For instance if you relocate stuff like the battery, igniter packs, fuse box, and relays or if your deleting stuff like ABS, AC etc will make a big difference. r0cknr0lla
Thats great thanks guys, anything helps at the moment. Abs and ac being deleted yes. Going TT non vvti. Will be relocating the box and battery and binning the charcoal cannister. No stock airbox either. Regarding the relays and ignitors is it better to relocate them to inside the cabin? ripped_fear
In that case the vast majority in the top right hand side of the bay in the picture can be filled, as can most of the front right hand side. If your running an after market inlet the brackets on the left suspension side can go and allot of wholes filled, there is some holes in the top left that are cruise control related too. As for the relays and ignite, you could mover it down low in the bay onto the chasis rail or put it behind the wing, would probably be easier than moving it into the car IMO
r0cknr0lla
Cheers mate thanks for the help. Makes the world of difference. Had a look at hodges too so should be good to go now. Is there no concern of getting the electics wet fitting them under the wing?
ripped_fear
If they are under the skin of the wing they shouldn't get wet as they will be completely incased. Would be a pita if they had a fault though. No different to having it under the bonnet I shouldn't have fault. Good luck mate, bit of an epic job. j_jza80
Whatever you end up doing, I would recommend finding a local member with a TT, and have a good look around the engine bay of their car.
Steve
I would not advise fitting the fuse box under the wing after seeing fuse boxes full of water and corroded when moved.
ripped_fear
I would not advise fitting the fuse box under the wing after seeing fuse boxes full of water and corroded when moved. Definitely agree with this, the fuse box should be in the car as most locations will only allow you to mount it on its side or at an angle and the casing will just allow water straight in. r0cknr0lla
Agreed, I wasnt planning on going there purely for that reason. Seems to be the headlight as an option too but the water issue is still a concern. In two minds about where to place it. If tucking the loom under the wings I suppose the most sensible is to place the relays etc along with it I suppose. I will pm hodge and see where he has placed his as a reference. Good idea, There is a thread with london members so may take advantage of that! Cheers
safcdixon
I would not advise fitting the fuse box under the wing after seeing fuse boxes full of water and corroded when moved. This actually happened to me just a few weeks back, i moved my small relay box (trac, abs) under the headlight a couple of years back, it was full of grit and water, all three of my relays had corroded so badly that they were bridging and make my whole system stay live with the ignition off If you have the skills move it in the cabin or delete the abs and trac system altogether, if not leave where it is
r0cknr0lla
Cheers for that.. think il just go the extra length and place them in the cabin. Solves a world of problems later.
