ECU cut under full load

Ok, so after running in 600 miles on my new build, everything seems to be holding together and staying on the car (bonus!) :D

Under light-med pulls on #1 turbo she feels great. But when try and do a hard pull and run up into #2 turbo territory I get some sort of cut and then she will run dog rough like you have popped a boost pipe, pulling over, turning off seems to reset things and she happily drive off and boost nicely again on #1 turbo. Im guessing its something to do with the sequential system and how its being controlled. I guess these are options:

1) A vsv could be plumbed up wrongly, but we have been following the diagram off Maxboost.co.uk, my mate reckons I had the vsv for the EGCV, that sits under #1 turbo plumbed the wrong way around. Thing is before we switched this, she pulled nicely on #1, I could hear lots of turbo spool and she pulled nicely. Since making this switch its almost like she's changed to TTC, the spool feels a lot more lagier, theres now also a deep tone that you can hear and feel through the car more and #1 doesnt feel like its pulling as much/hard.

2)Can a restrictive air filter cause cut if the MAF cant see the volume required for that set point ? (I really dont think this is the issue, but)

3) Following the diagrams on MaxBoost.co.uk is ok, but how can I tell which is in and which out on each vsv, or how can I tell which way around the lines should go on the vsv ?

Thanks guys :)
