simbasupra
Hi guys. Currently doing a rebuild but have forgotten if I took a nut of the stud in the photo. The manual does not mention a nut. The oil filter bracket is held on with the long 24mm union bolt and also locates on this stud, however the stud looks very short to really have a nut on. Kev.O
That's a locator stud only from memory and does not require a nut. I would imagine you would crack the filter bracket if a nut is fitted as I'm sure here is a little gap between the bracket and the block. simbasupra
Yes there is a gap which was making me think that it was for location only. Also ive sorted all nuts and bolts in storage containers and dont have any nuts left over. And finally the manual doesnt mention one and the stud is short. Just wanted to double check and lay my mind at rest. Thanks for your help.
