mac79
It looks like i will have to change the engine mounts as the vibration when sat in drive is getting worse. Where does a good price on them?
Pete
I wouldn't buy second hand and as far as I know Toyota OEM (or TRD) is your only choice. Try the usual Toyota part sources and see who's cheapest

mac79
Anyone know anything about these? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-JZA80-93-95-Vibra-Technics-Engine-Mount-Fast-Road-TOY110M-/110843260735?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19cec5ef3f
Pete
I'm told the job is a PITA to do. Personally I'd just suck it up and buy the proper OEM ones whatever the cost otherwise you could risk it being too harsh and giving just as much engine vibration as your duff ones. mac79
I think i will have to take the hit. I am pretty sure its engine mounts, a lot of vibration in D but loads less in N or P.
mac79
Is there a way to check if its the engine mounts?
jonc
Sounds like mounts to me(either engine or gearbox). Facelift engine mounts suffer terribly from failure and the vibration is noticeable as Toyota changed the design. I changed mine two years ago and the job was not too bad. Saying that not sure pre facelifts suffer too much on the mounts however the cars are old now. I got my mounts from Mr T.

dandan
I bought a pair of prefacelift mounts from JamieP a while back along with the mounting brackets to fit them (apparently they don't just bolt on to facelift cars). They're no use to me now as the car is gone. If you can collect you can have the lot for £50....or if you wait till about Jan you could probably have them for nothing as I'll be fed up of selling spares by then and it will all be going to the tip!
