supra_24
Hey guys, My supra is currently at the body shop having a new kit put on. When they took off the original supra bumper the other day, we discovered a small plastic bottle, which looked as though it had been stuck onto the rear of the front bumper using some kind of black mesh. Looked like small washer bottle. They assured me they hadn't disconnected anything when removing the bumper, so we assumed it must have been used in a past setup with the car. It did look pretty dirty and seemed to have dirty rain water in it. Anyone know what this plastic bottle may be and is it something I need to keep hold of? I would Assume the actual washer bottle is located further back and not attached to the front bumper? Regards Ash
brom86
It's not the expansion tank is it for the radiator?
supra_24
Don't believe so. Your talking about the coolant reservoir tank right. As I have a stainless steel one that links straight from the radiator, which is sat just to the right of the radiator? The Raven
What ever it is/was its not stock if its held in by mesh. Are they sure it had no lines coming off it? We need pics of it.
Dnk
No bottles are stuck to the back of the front bumper like that, perhaps it was a previous attempt for an expansion tank. If you have an expansion tank elsewhere that's plumbed into the rad neck overflow pipe then i wouldn't worry about it
Guest Budz86
Only 2 things I can think of is the expansion bottle and the washer fluid bottle....but bother generally need to be connected to the rest of the car for full effect! supra_24
I think it was just a previous expansion tank/washer bottle as it did look as though it hadn't been used in a long time. Not too bothered by it, but did remove it from the old bumper anyway. Can't wait to see the finished car today, should look amazing with the new kit and spoiler
