Eddie-S
I've just been watching good old Wheeler Dealers and they have had the manifold of a Jag XJC (nice car) ceramic coated. I was just wondering what people know/think about this process and is it worth doing? Claims reduces heat in the engine bay by 33% and clears gases more efficiently... j_jza80
Zircotec is used by many motorsport teams, including F1, so yes, it works. NOT cheap though.
Swampy442
Jamie P had the manifold on his black beast Zircotec'd I believe.
Si_s Supe
A mate of mine who built a beastly Volvo 850 T5-R, The Yellow Peril, had his custom tubular manifold done by Zircotec and was nothing but impressed with it!!
Eddie-S
I might have to look into it over the winter then. Looks like a good way to go
Al Massey
I've got a load of wrap that I wanted to put on. May get mine zircoteced up first
Eddie-S
I've got a load of wrap that I wanted to put on. May get mine zircoteced up first On the zircotec website it dies day that wrapping degrades and you have to keep renewing it so if the claims are true, which they seem to be, you wouldn't need to wrap after the ceramic coating anyway.
