Nic
Fitted a new AC Condenser and Drier and need the system testing and re-gassing. I've been quoted £60 by a mobile AC guy to come to the house and do the work, does this sound reasonable?
supra joe
£60 is expensive. You can actually buy the kits yourself from halfords apparently. Mobile guy up my way was going to charge around £35/40.
peter richards
about right nic I paid £35 at a national tyre depot last year, half price offer only to discover the condensers gone
Abz
Found ATS to be the cheapest at £45 (http://shop.atseuromaster.co.uk/car-products-services/air-conditioning/air-con-regas/6). Kwik-fit charge more but I am sure I have seen some online vouchers. Good price considering it is mobile.
ScottC
Seems reasonable, doubt there are many trades that will drive to you house for less than £60.
Nic
Thanks guys having looked around it seem about the going rate for mobile AC service, I have the front of the car off at the moment so made sense for them to come to me whilst everything is accessible. Sounds about right to me Nic, Particularly as you will need a pressure test, Dehydrate and charge. Halfrauds kits are no good for this and other companies mentioned prices are for a recharge, not the full service you need.
Ibrar Jabbar
A good long vac and regas will do it. I charge £30.
