j_jza80
One of my friends has just taken delivery of a Supra, and I'm a bit baffled by the wheel and tyre combination on the car. It has 9.5" wheels all round, with 235/40/18 tyres on the front, and 245/40/18 on the rear. In my experience, every Supra I have been involved with has had staggered wheels, and on 18s they've been along the lines of 235 or 245 / 40 / 18 on the front, and 275 or 285 / 40 / 18 on the rear. As he needs to buy new tyres anyway, he is considering buying new wheels at the same time if it is a better setup for the car. But is the current setup okay, and I assume that he would be okay going up to something like 265 on a 9.5" Wheel on a Supra? I don't know the offset of the wheels, but they are pushed out quite far. Cheers.
JamieP
Seen it done many times, be fine with the correct offsets.
Rich.2211
I've ran the same sizes all round before and just staggered the tyres. 235/40's and 255/35's on 9.5J wheels and it was fine
