Mk4Gaz
Hi guys, I need to replace mine as the smoke on cold starts is getting worse. I'll be stripping a lot of the bay back when doing my single build in a couple of weeks time, so it would be a perfect time to get them done. Can anyone recommend any after market ones, that are known to be good. I don't want to buy cheap rubbish ones, but at the same time, don't want to pay the premium for Toyota ones if I don't need to. I'm not one to skimp on quality over cost, but also don't believe in paying over the top because of a 'badge'!
Nic
If you're taking the head off to do them Toyota do a full gasket kit that includes everything you'll need including the valve stem seals.
Mk4Gaz
Thanks nic, but fortunately I have access to the tools that allow it to be done with the head in situ.

Krimi
And what about the Ferrea ones? I installed this in my car and no problem...
Mk4Gaz
Well I've found supertech seals for £40 a set, including delivery. Viton coated, and the reviews look good. I may just go with chris' ones though, if they're known to be good

Chris Wilson
I have used these for a long time, but the supply seems to be drying up. Never had any problems and a LOT cheaper than normal ones from Toyota.
Guest Budz86
How much are they from Mr T then?
Mk4Gaz
In fact, Chris, could you bring the set to jae? Kelvin needs to pick his oil cap up from you anyway, so I'll come over with him
