Murf2j
Hi all, I'm converting my na supra to 1jzgte and after some advise on the gearbox side of things, it's the W58 and I know it does mate up but what prop do I use or can I use my original ?? Seen a few threads about the conversion but haven't seen this covered, also does anyone know who could do the wiring for it and how much it would be ?? Thanks in advance
thomo8568
If the box is from your car them the prop should fit. I used the soarer auto box and used the supra auto prop. The wiring is something you could do yourself. I did mine without to much issues. All you need is the wiring diagrams for both engine lumes. j_jza80
Try and find yourself a V160 or at least an R154, the W58 won't take it once you turn up the boost and start driving it properly.
little num
you can use the w58 prop as the 1jz block is the same length as the 2jz so exactly the same, the only real difference is the 2jz is just over 1" taller due to the .5 litre extra. Murf2j
I'm going to run the w58 box for now and just run bpu with uprated clutch, cheers for the quick replies. Any ideas on wiring side if things?
Guest FullAttack
As said above! W58 won't last long.. R154 is the best option if you don't want to spend as much as a v160 costs.. I have an R154 setup for sale, check out the Parts For Sale section:)
