Guest jimmyrs
Hi all, I have a cobra alarm system on my sup, and one thing i noticed after buying it was that the key fob would only unlock the car, not lock it. It made the sound to operate locking it but failed to do so, so i figured i would replace the battery in the key fob to see if that made a difference. Having put a cheap battery in, it worked! it would now lock and unlock the car fine.. but only for a week, before going back to the same issue of only unlocking. I then thought it may be because it was an old, cheap battery.. so i went out and chucked a decent duracell in it. Again, it only lasted just over a week before resorting going back to unlocking only... Can anyone tell me a possible cause for this only lasting momentarily? Do i have a faulty key fob or something? Refuse to keep going through batteries aha.. Anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance
RobUK
Do you have a spare fob? Normally you get two...
Guest jimmyrs
i do not, assume one of the previous owners lost one. I did plan on purchasing a new one however its £20-30 i could do better with at the moment :/
RobUK
Might be worth biting the bullet and getting a spare, at least you can eliminate something
