Kaan W
What's it made from? Are you sure it's not a cover over the stock oil cap?

Scott
That's not fake. That's the one that actually fits the MKIV, rather than the one that sits squint.

makri
I cant comment on if it is a fake or not, but mine look like this. And it is not fake. Maybe they have changed its design over the years?

Maybe they have changed its design over the years? I think they were multiple fitment. I've no idea what car the oil cap in question was designed to fit, much like the one in your picture, but it's definitely TRD. Have you never wondered why it doesn't sit straight on the MKIV? Not the best picture but you get the idea. I think these ones may be the older variety as they are VERY hard to get. http://www.mkivsuprastar.com/mkivsuprastar/Pics/Enginebay/3c2fffd0146d416bc1456af9502b9971.jpg Edited August 21, 2014 by Scott (see edit history)

Yeah it dosent sit straight, but at least it not leaking. It feels kind a "cheap" when it screws on

The part number of my cap is PTR04-12108-03 "Engine type: Fits all engines with NON-threaded Push and Twist style oil cap." Looks to me like a "universal" cap Edited August 21, 2014 by makri (see edit history)

msmile
Well.. the one in question sits fine, no leaks and actually seems very likely to be the older version of the cap as I can now see from the pics. Thanks!
