Glanza_Mike
As per title have a couple of questions for you all! 1. I have a set of D2 front brakes 330mm, but they are for a different car and i'd like to fit them to my Supra. I've emailed a few companies but nobody has got back to me as of yet. Do you know where i could get hold of some bells and the mounting brackets for D2 brakes for a Supra please? 2. I may well need some wide arches for the front of my Supra as my front wheels seem to be sticking out a decent chunk I want to keep the stock lines as much as possible so i think the TRD wings (would probably have the gap filled in) look best? Do you know if these can be run on a stock body car? Or would i need side skirts and/or wide front bumper to fit? Thanks
Chris Wilson
You may have to borrow discs and bells and brackets and get them copied. I can do that, but it will be pricey.... You also need to make sure the calipers you have use the same piston diameters as those meant for a JZA80.
Glanza_Mike
Okay Chris thanks mate, what sort of money do you mean when you say pricey? As in I would be better off just buying a new kit or nowhere near that much? Also i have the 330mm disks i just need the bells making up. Chris Wilson
A rough guide. £180 a pair for the bells, about the same for brackets as one offs. Would need to see samples, and it depends if you want them bare alloy, or hard anodized.
Glanza_Mike
Okay mate, and what would you need in order to make up some bells for me? And some brackets? Not sure how i could get hold of original bells and mounts without actually buying them so that you could copy them tbh. And does anyone know about the fitment of the Wide front fenders please? Chris Wilson
I'd need sample bell and bracket, or proper engineering drawings. They could be made with a caliper, a disc and a front hub and uoright, and the wheel you wantmto use, but the cost rises again. It's often cheaper to just buy a full kit
