Kirk
The beginning of the season is almost upon us so I think it's time for another thread! A lot of interesting signing's across the board so I'm certainly expecting another cracker. Predictions? I'm going for a Chelsea win this season as painful as it is to admit it. Think us boys (Arsenal) will be close behind in second or third. Fully expecting Liverhampton to fall out of the top four. listy
I did ask about this being made a sticky. The consensus was it will be popular enough to not need to be I think it's going to be tight at the top this season. I'm confident we (Arsenal, again ) can challenge if we make one or two more signings. Chambers has impressed in pre-season. I can't wait to see Sanchez in full flow too. City in the Community Shield just didn't seem interested, and Utd I think will have a slow start. Haven't followed LFC's pre-season so can't really comment, but with The Cannibal gone, and the signings they've made, I can't see them challenging. Again, I haven't really followed Cheleas pre-season, but Costa has been playing well I've heard. Some great signings this summer.

bradleyh_15
I can see Liverpool doing what Tottenham done last season and achieving very little. Even getting knocked out of the champions league at the group stage.
Kirk
Not the only one who thinks that then. On an unrelated matter, thanks mods for sticking this thread! If it's not as popular as it was last year you can take it down as and when.! ANYWAY. Fantasy football. Who's for it? I'll make a mini league if there is enough interest. Kirk
I usually stick with the official fantasy premier league. I'll make a group and leave the code in the first post. So the drama has begun already before the season has begun. Tony Pulis has left Crystal Palace http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/crystal-palace/11034484/Tony-Pulis-leaves-Crystal-Palace-after-dispute-over-transfer-funds.html Should make our first game that much easier

Hammer
With Pulis going I can't see Palace staying up. We have them second game and it will hopefully give us an early away win, which will be good for confidence. Chelsea to win it I think. jim
Betting sites are blocked from work - anyone know the odds for title winner this year? If the bookies are as pessimistic about Liverpool's chances as you lot are I might have a wee punt on them.

I'm a Liverpool fan and just don't see it you even get good odds for a top 4 finish for us

Havard
I have no idea what to expect from the Super Spurs. After last year, spending all the Bale money and ultimately being rubbish, I hope Pochettino can bring some style to proceedings and get the best out of these players. Optimistically hoping for 4th. Realistically 5th. Would be gutted with any less but with Utd strengthening I wonder if we will go backwards. One way or another. Any of the top 7 are capable of beating the other teams so it should make for a great season. H.
Havard
Well. I just laughed so much I nearly got a round of drinks in. Been out in the car and missed the end of the match to find we scored the winner in the 93rd minute. H.
Hammer
Well deserved H. We were shocking. Missed a 'penalty' if it was one, could not capitalize on you being a man down. Shot ourselves in the foot by getting one of ours sent off and ALL our best new signings in the way of strikers sat in the stands. Same old big fat Sam. Another long season ahead. You'll have to be better though if you are hoping for 4th/5th, it was pretty dire all round mate.

To be fair, if we went down to 10 men, away from home, I wouldn't expect us to see a great deal of the ball. West Ham have proved to be a bit of a pain for us in the last few years so I am happy to get one back after taking a mauling twice last season. It's a happy H tonight. Kirk
Your team is poor and it forever will be Yeah so we won, eventually. Palace came to waste time and defend. Not an easy game that but all that matters is the points on the board. United made great entertainment value once again.
Kirk
Well that wasn't the most exciting opening weekend and the way pundits and media are going on you'd think Chelsea had just won the league.
