The cable frayed and jammed inside the little coggy thing. Needed a new window regulator. Keron keeps new ones in stock usually. False economy getting a used one as it will just fail again soon. People want too much for second hand ones imo, luckily the last time I needed one a member sold me one at a sensible price. Next time tho, I will most likely buy new. I think Keron stocks new ones by the way. But if you remove the whole regulator, you can use a simple ratchet strap to get your car secured and usable while you sort out the replacement part. One end of the strap secures at the top of the door, the strap then passes under the glass and through the slot and then lower down on the door.
