Hey

Was just paying for parking , tried to put the window back up and it wouldnt go , then it started to drop into the door

Sounds like the motor is still working though, window popped off the regulator ? easy job for the DIY

Car is in a public car park now with no drivers window :(

I was in the exact same scenario about two months ago. The cable frayed and jammed inside the little coggy thing. Needed a new window regulator. Keron keeps new ones in stock usually. False economy getting a used one as it will just fail again soon.

Is there a wall you can park up against and get out the passenger side?

Took off the door card, window is buried in there, I tried to pull up the window only will go third of the way, when you try to use the button it sounds like the cable is splintering in the lower section if the door, will strip out the motor tomorrow but I reckon new cable mechanism

Bro(slam) needed one the other day

The motor eats the cable so can't get it on its own

You need a new regulator it also comes with the drum that sits in the motor

Easy to replace but when you get new one do not cut the cable ties holding cover over wires on drum

Leave it till ready then you need to place the drum/ regulator onto your old motor

Will all makes sense when you get new one

Had one go on every supra I have owned now.

People want too much for second hand ones imo, luckily the last time I needed one a member sold me one at a sensible price. Next time tho, I will most likely buy new. I think Keron stocks new ones by the way.

But if you remove the whole regulator, you can use a simple ratchet strap to get your car secured and usable while you sort out the replacement part. One end of the strap secures at the top of the door, the strap then passes under the glass and through the slot and then lower down on the door. You can then just ratchet the glass up to the correct height.

Mine went a few years ago, got a 2nd hand one and it's still working. The problem I had (and still have) is getting the window to line back up exactly with the rubber seal, resulting in wind noise on the motorway, despite lots of faffing, I never managed to get it right.

Just got the new part, looks like a revised model compared to what is on there , the cable loops through the two pulleys as opposed to having the cable in the top pulley with a lead stopper on the end of the cable

Asked the parts manager and he said it was revised back in 06 , they use to retail for 200 euro
