Andrew K
When the supra is locked and you pull on the drivers door handle it used to light up a ring in green around the door lock, also at the same time light up the green light around the ignition barrel and light up the footwell lights for a short period then go out, for some reason this has stopped happening when you pull on the drivers door handle while locked It's been like this for a while now but would like to try and fix what's gone wrong so it works like it used to, when the car is unlocked though and you open the drivers door the footwell lights and ignition barrel light do come on so know they work! Has anybody had this same problem and managed to get it working again? or find out what causes the 3 lights not to come on when you pull on the handle while it's locked? AndyJax
There is a rather delicate lever like switch behind the drivers side handle which has probably broken/wornout with age. Good news is its a seperate plug in to the door wiring loom so it will be easy to buy a replacement from Mr T. Bad news it means taking the doorcard off and door handle as well, quite a fiddly job. Your footwell lights and ignition barrel light will come on when you open the door because they run off the same circuit and switch as the interior lights and work independantly of the said door handle switch if it should fail .If that makes sense. Thanks for the info, will take the door card off and see if I can locate this switch and get a new one

Andrew K
Does anyone know the part number / item description for this switch behind the drivers door handle that I'm after?
AndyJax
I would ve thought your local Toyota dealer should be able to locate the switch on one of those blow up diagrams they have in their spare parts dept. Yeah not all Supras have the Footwell lights, optional extra I believe and I once tried to get a spare cover for one of the lights when I discovered it was missing. However even with a part number could Toyota hell as find the Footwell lights on their system not a trace even though they were officially fitted ! drew 007
Well I never knew that...I've got the Full oem light setup which works once the door is opened but mine doesn't do that with the handle while locked.
