LOGIE
Im just wondering if anyone has done this. Ive been undecided for months now whether to fit my stock hood scoop. I got wondering how it would look if it was blended with the bonnet. Anyone done it or got a picture? Cheers y'all
The Raven
Hmm, I would guess it would crack around the fill lines due to the amount and speed of the air going under it? UNless you really really went to town on it

Paul
Looks shit mate, save on filler and go for the stock look.
Dnk
Can't say i'm that keen on it being blending in, its different so for that but i quite like the stuck on look that it has which shows its shape better and makes it stand out from the hood more Edited August 7, 2014 by Dnk (see edit history)

markylee
I had my centre light brake light smoothed over when I had it resprayed a couple of years ago, shows up terribly now, starting to swell and paint splitting, I am sure it would show up in the near future especially with a flexible ally bonnet. Twisted
I had my centre light brake light smoothed over when I had it resprayed a couple of years ago, shows up terribly now, starting to swell and paint splitting, I am sure it would show up in the near future especially with a flexible ally bonnet. Sorry but off subject doesn't that make your brake light system illegal? I think I remember reading somewhere something about brake lights and one being above a certain height/eye line of other drivers. I know I've not provided any decent info on it but I assume you researched it before deleting a brake light? I expect what I'm on about only applies to newer vehicles. markylee
Only illegal if the light is still in and not operating, not sure on the rule in later cars though , mine is 93.
Guigsy
Uk specs have the lense but no light behind them. I'd imagine after a while the bonnet would show cracks due to fatigue. Especially as the bonnet does flex a bit. Plus the different explanation rates of the plastic and metal in the heat
