Bally
Hi all, Been looking on ebay at standard size inter coolers seen some cheap ones at £80 ish (excluding pipes) just wondered has anyone bought one and are they any good?? As always thanks for any replies
listy
Don't buy cheap. There is a reason they are cheap. Buy right, buy once. Also, half the eBay tat wont fit without hassle.

safcdixon
Had my ebay one for nearly 4yrs, defintley cant gripe for the cost, its well made and does the job well imo, branded doesnt always mean they are good quality
Dazzi
I've also had an eBay intercooler on my na-t years ago and couldn't fault it. Tbh some of these 'custom' made intercoolers I see traders selling look exactly the same as ebay intercoolers but triple the cost!
dr_jekyll
don't buy a cheap one because the world will end, an ebay one will turn to dust at anything over 1psi. im guessing you have a competition car where ever 1000th of a second is crucial, and your running 1.8bar +

gordy.r
I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but the reason they are cheaper is the components used for the core etc are cheaper and not as good at cooling/won't last as long/etc as the more expensive ones. If it works and it's in your budget range and your happy then I see no problem. Personally I would opt for an SRD, Whifbitz or Chris Wilson SMIC (if your not after the bling factor) as these have all been extensively tested and work a treat with good quality cores etc. Just my 2p worth, but as I said, buy what makes you happy, at the end of the day it's your car. Ric
The SRD one comes with everything for fitting, ps cooler, hose, brackets, full instructions, it really is a plug and play kit, very easy to do.
Josh
I've also had an eBay intercooler on my na-t years ago and couldn't fault it. Tbh some of these 'custom' made intercoolers I see traders selling look exactly the same as ebay intercoolers but triple the cost! Same thing with radiators. A badge is added and the price goes up. I got a CW one that was second hand, but it still looked fine.
