Bally
Hi all Got couple of small oil leaks on 95 TT auto import anyone know of common problems regarding oil leaks just want to narrow it down then get it sorted Grateful for All answers
Scooter
Common ones...... Cam cover seals, usually at the rear turbo side and leaks down the back of the engine on to the gearbox housing Oil pressure sensor, not so common and tends to get worse quickly - this is behind the aircon compressor Front crank seal, if it's just weeping (you said yours were small leaks) this will coat the oil sump... Where can you see the oil?
listy
Best bet is to clean as much of it off as you can, then go for a short drive (get it up to temp) then get it up in the air, and look for the leaks.

listy
If it's dripping off the sump, either the sump seals have gone, or more likely, the front crank seal has gone. When you drive, the oil leaks from the FCS and gets pulled under the sump. Have a look at the very front bottom of the engine, and see if there is oil there. Swampy442
You need to clean the whole engine and, as Listy said, go for a drive and see whats leaking. Just because its dripping off the sump doesn't mean it hasn't dripped from somewhere higher up.
