mac79
I have a leak on my power steering pump, it where the pipe connects from the Reservoir on to the top of the pump. It looks like the plate bolts on and there would be a gasket, that where the leak is. If that is the case can you buy a new gasket? the pump still works and i have been topping it up but it has now got worse so time to fix. mac79
The other option is to get a reconditioned one.
Kaan W
Do you mean the union and bolt or the gasket that separates the two halves of the pump?
Chris Wilson
The union bolts on and seals via a single O ring. Toyota list the O ring separately:

Chris Wilson
This is what i am on about. And that is what I showed the part number for.
mac79
And that is what I showed the part number for. Thanks Chris i have ordered one and it will be with me on friday for the pricey sum of £3.70. So a cheap fix if that sorts it.
Chris Wilson
If it's not really nice and supple I'd change the hose from the reservoir to the nipple, too. they have a nasty tendency to split when you disturb old ones, plus they weep if they are no longer soft and get disturbed. A leak at that O ring is common, so it should sort it
2jzEd
Had the same issue about a year ago leaking fluid from the union area, ordered that O-ring Chris Wilson mentioned and it hasn't leaked a drop since.
