Ben m
Hi guys I own a 1jz powered silvia and it seems to eat power steering pumps do you people have problems at all with them?
LOGIE
Nope they are generally pretty reliable. Is your car for drifting? This puts massive strain on ps pumps. Maybe add an additional power steering cooler.
Havard
Supra power steering pumps are very strong. I remember when my NA ditched all the fluid and the pump was making a terrible noise. Filled the system back up and was sweet as a nut for years after.
Chris Wilson
If the car is used for drifting the system will need a much better PAS cooler than stock, you are probably boiling the fluid and the rack seals are probably already shot. So a new rack, new pump and a decent cooler and a full pipe flush, should have you back in action.
