r0cknr0lla
So few bits have been done & arrived over the last few days, not much but more in preparation for the paintwork really. 1st cleaned up the Fuel filler cap and sprayed the wipers black.. looking like new again!!... Also cleaned up the OS arch extension, looks like new too, just need to source a NS one. New arrivals included new bolts and screws for wings, arch liners and body, some bonnet dampers, the new spoiler protectors and lugs.. as well as new foam for the heater matrix: Getting stuck into the foam flaps for the matrix, cleaned them up all good, Lots of stuff came off.. still shocked at the condition it was in but anyway... Looking like new again!! Car is now officially booked in for bodyshop on the 15th January for paintwork.. I have decided to go for the Viper GTS blue as that's what I really want although this will depend on weather the colour can be mixed up here properly.. I did say that if they cannot do it exactly right then I would choose something else (Black) cos then its just not worth spraying it and I wont be happy.. waiting for final confirmation but should be ok... holding thumbs. r0cknr0lla
Got a fair bit done today, removed side windows, existing regulators and all rubbers including boot. Took door handles off to refurb the black plastic that sits between handle and door, also both wing mirrors to refurb the black rubbers also. Turns out the two bottom pieces of the boot rubber stoppers are not going anywhere, the screws are so badly corroded so will have to drilled out.. will be replacing those anyhow. Most of the black trim looking black again... Nearly done with all of those. Brought the carpet and headliner home, Mrs said she would dye them for me... result!
