r0cknr0lla
Hey all....so after owning two Subaru's in South Africa and coming over to every second tom driving one I decided to step out my comfort zone and buy a supra.. a vehicle I have always wanted however, am not too familiar with. So.. I signed up here and spent a good while learning about the car (although I am still no Einstein... at all) and reading all your experiences and threads and decided to jump at one after contacting Keron... So, having decided to start pretty much from scratch and kinda on a "learn as I go" plan.. I introduce you to my complete rebuild which over the next coming months will do my best to keep you all updated as to the progress... with pics... I know you all like pics ;-) This is also then documented for my personal use. Due to work and family I don't get much time on the car but prefer it that way too cos I can then be thorough. Will be starting off with bodywork and respray, followed by wheels, suspension, interior and last but definitely not the least.. running gear. Car arrived on my doorstep today thanks to Keron so have supplied some pics of its current state. I'm sure you all know the car and it does quite appropriately have the forum stickers on it. Sure Ill need advice going forward at some stage so any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers and thanks for reading! r0cknr0lla
Got ahold of the interior today.. 90% done.. just need to whip the dash out although its already unbolted.. just need to figure out getting the loom out, seems like quite a job and didnt have enough time to complete all that. Also left is roof lining for interior... Got quotes for paint which im pretty happy with although I am torn between solid gloss black and Viper GTS blue.. tough choice! Any thoughts?? Will be finishing interior next, tiding up engine bay, popping windows out and then off to spraying!! r0cknr0lla
Test fitted skirts and bumper.. have to say that they are pretty decent and not much adjusting at all to be done which is fantastic.. although I dont have headlights in it all seemed to line up pretty good!! Also managed the first stint on cleaning up the rear arches.. look 100 times better already. Will give it round two and then some paint.. also want to replace all bushes and boots. Did find a hole from rust though.. under the fuel tank which im not too happy about but heading to bodyshop soon so they can sort it then.
