Guest Roger NE
No, very much cheaper, as the N/A gearboxes are often changed if people turbocharge their engine. You need: W58 gearbox with bellhousing, clutch fork and slave cylinder (and Flywheel and 8 flywheel bolts Complete Clutch kit with pilot bearing and release bearing (best get all this new if you can afford it) Clutch and brake pedals Clutch Master Cylinder Clutch hydraulic line Manual Propshaft You may also need the gearbox support cross member if it's different Think that's mainly it . . . you could get the lot from one scrap car (I'd be offering ~£400 in total) You also need to do a bit of wiring modification, to short out the wires to the auto start switch Edited July 29, 2014 by Roger NE (see edit history)
trebor69
Don't you need to have a new transmission tunnel welded in too to fit the manual box ?

natony
Don't you need to have a new transmission tunnel welded in too to fit the manual box ? No you don't really have to with W58, you can just :cough: persuade the tunnel to move a little.

Dan8
I am just in the process of changing to manual I just fitted the pedals and master and slave cylinder is all in place ready to swap boxes and fit fly wheel and clutch I have the prop there to and gearbox cradle I did not know that the tunnel needed swapping though is there a lot of persuasion required to get it to fit into the auto tunnel
natony
No it does not require a lot of persuasion, just get a good bit of wood and a hammer
