Elmo
Anyone know if LHD & RHD (jspec front 2 piston) Brake Calipers the same? Here is an image of the LHD front left: Cheers! Edited July 23, 2014 by Elmo (see edit history)
Swampy442
The calipers will be the same.
Elmo
Cheers, I thought as much but you never know!
stevie_b
I'm not so sure. Won't the LHD and RHD be mirror images of each other (i.e. not the same)? The bleed valve needs to be on the top of each caliper. That's for the part with the pistons in. The part with the brake pads in I think are interchangeable, although I believe there're stamped with L and R.
Swampy442
Oh, so LHD doesn't mean Left Hand Drive? If not then yes, they are different and also marked up with a big L or R.
stevie_b
Ah, I mis-read it as LHS and RHS (but still typed LHD and RHD, d'oh!). As Swampy said.
Dnk
Same goes for the larger 4 pots or UK specs and also have L or R cast into them
Elmo
Cheers for the replies. So just to clarify, 2 piston front calipers bought from the US, will fit RHD cars?
stevie_b
I believe so yes.
